It's been awhile since the last post, I know. What's happened since? Well, first of all I got internet in my apartment which is currently allowing me to post a life update from the comfort of my own bed. Also, I started medical school! Today was the third day and I have never received such a deluge of lecture material in my life! Fortunately it is interesting and I am committed to keeping on top of it. I hope it doesn't end up holding me back from Baha'i work. This first year at least I just have to pass everything. I am praying for the diligence and detachment it will take to manage the stress and do a good job on everything.
My apartment has been blessed with two more mini-prayer meetings. One when my family came for white coat ceremony (when medical students are presented with the white coats that will allow them to rove the hospital learning to be doctors and look like the fit in). My aunt, who has been a friend of the Baha'is for years, was able to offer a prayer in that one. She spoke of the heartfelt gratitude we all felt at being together for an happy occasion.
Most importantly my first real devotional meeting is scheduled for 7PM next week! I need to put the invitation on MyPunchBowl so everyone can know where/when to come. I am also inviting at least one classmate home for dinner tomorrow night, so if she wants to come she'll at least know where the place is.
God tells us to seek no other helper besides Him, and I need so much help right now. I am still trying to figure out how to organize my study habits and find my place among the other kids. Trying to offer the love that I want so much to receive.
